Open Positions

Research study assistant

We are hiring up to three (3) full-time with benefits research assistants to work on NIH-funded projects examining the role of neuroimmune signaling in generating both risk and resilience for mental and physical health problems. The goal of this work is to better understand how "stress gets under the skin" during development to increase risk for depression, addiction, and co-occurring cardiometabolic health problems. This is an ideal position for a candidate interested in gaining hands-on experience before pursuing medical school or a PhD program in neuroscience, psychology, or a related field.

These positions involve collecting and managing multimodal data collected on children, adolescents, and young adults. This includes self-report, behavioral, and both structural and functional MRI data of the brain. These positions will also involve lab management, including IRB correspondence, finance management, literature reviews, and other administrative tasks.

The successful applicant will join our vibrant lab team and the exciting academic community at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. The ideal applicant will have a BS/BA and prior experience working or volunteering in a research lab. Positions are guaranteed funding for one (1) year, with the possibility to extend based on performance and grant funding.
